Amazing location, minutes’ walk from beach and walking trails. Helpful staff transferred bags to and from boat. Good food at on-site restaurant. Family cabin felt like a treehouse, kids loved it. Unique experience crossing tidal zone of river.

Located in a stunning national park, Awaroa Lodge offers a prime location for hiking and exploring nature. The rooms are comfortable and well-cleaned, with coffee and hot chocolate provided. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a relaxing and peaceful stay. The breakfast is cooked to order with plenty of options, and the evening meals are exceptional. Guests can also enjoy hiking trails, glowworms, and even "trained" eels on the grounds.

Communication with housekeeping could have been better.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a luxurious 4-star hotel nestled in the heart of nature. This place is truly a hidden gem, located in a lush greenery in such an isolated area. The service at this hotel was impeccable, from the moment I checked in, I was treated with utmost care and attention. The staff, from the chef to the front office and manager, were all incredibly friendly and attentive. They even went above and beyond by accommodating my special request for a birthday dessert, which was beautifully presented with a few additional treats.

Families would find this hotel highly recommended due to its family-friendly facilities such as the game room, children's menu, and beach access.

Amazing location, surrounded by nature, and close to hiking trails. the rooms were comfortable and the food was good.

Terrible service from the staff, who seemed uninterested in helping or accommodating guests. the facilities were old and in need of renovation, especially the bathrooms.

We loved being surrounded by the forest and just a short distance from the beautiful beach. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were really helpful. The Abel Tasman National Park offered fantastic walking tracks and there were plenty of activities to keep us entertained. The food at the lodge was brilliant, and we especially enjoyed feeding the tame eels in the nearby wetland reserve.

It felt like our own home, no complaints.

I had the most incredible stay at this lodge in Awaroa Bay. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and taken care of by the attentive and friendly staff. The lodge itself is full of character and charm, with quirky touches that made it a truly special place to stay. The beach and lagoon nearby were absolutely stunning, providing ample opportunities for swimming and even spotting friendly and curious eagle rays. The food at the lodge was of excellent quality, although the service from the kitchen was a bit slow due to the busy season. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I would highly recommend this lodge and can't wait to book again for next year. my experience was unforgettable and I wholeheartedly recommend this place.
