I had a great stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions and activities. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and they went out of their way to ensure I had a comfortable stay. The room amenities were top-notch, with a sitting area, dining table, and patio. I especially appreciated the heating and electric blankets, which kept me warm during the chilly nights. The hotel also had a lovely swimming pool, perfect for cooling off on hot days. I was impressed with the quality of service and the comfort provided.

Kitchen clean, well-equipped. Showers in same building as rooms. Comfortable bed, warm room with heater. Bicycles for rent, great self-guided wine tour. Friendly staff, easy walk to supermarket.

The pool was nice and refreshing, perfect for a swim after a day out. the owners were friendly and welcoming, even though we didn't have a reservation they managed to get us a powered site. We also appreciated the clean toilet and washing facilities.

Our stay was not very comfortable due to the nearby construction works which were quite loud and disruptive. There was also a sketchy person in the lounge area who didn't seem to be a paying guest.

We stayed at this hotel during our campervan tour in NZ and it was a great stop. The location was perfect, right next to the main street, under a bridge with trucks going over it. The staff were friendly and the room had all the amenities we needed, including a heating system, a sitting area, a dining table, and a patio. The hotel also had a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, and BBQ facilities, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The on-site car park and luggage storage were very convenient. we had a fantastic experience at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to families.

noisy at night due to highway and train tracks

The location of the hotel is perfect, as it is right next to the highway on the down ramp of the bridge. It's so close to the street that you can actually feel the bed trembling when heavier trucks pass by. The staff is friendly and the check-in process is fast and easy. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the showers have plenty of hot water. Parking is available right outside the room, and the hotel is conveniently situated near the town center.

The communal shower area could be improved in terms of tidiness, and the ventilation is not great as the area steams up quickly.
