Situated on a hillside in lush surroundings, with beautiful views overlooking the harbor, it provided a truly breathtaking experience. Step into the enchanting world of a historic homestead full of character and charm. The creaking floorboards add a touch of nostalgia and the spacious rooms ensure a comfortable stay. Despite the weak shower, everything else is exceptional. Sipping tea on the balcony while admiring the breathtaking views is simply delightful. The gardens are a sight to behold, and the presence of the old deaf cat adds to the enchantment. The breakfast served is beyond words, truly setting you up for an amazing day. You won't want to leave this fantastic and homely experience.

Blythcliffe offers a great location, situated close to everything in the village and on a hillside in lush surroundings overlooking Akaroa Harbour. The rooms are spacious, with sunny balconies and comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is excellent, offering a variety of choices including homemade croissants and scrambled eggs with salmon. The grounds are extensive, with beautiful flowers and nature walk, where you can spot bell birds and fantails. The owners are welcoming and interesting, making you feel at home immediately.

The bathroom not being attached to the bedroom may be slightly inconvenient for some guests.

We enjoyed the cozy sitting room, comfortable bed, and the lovely veranda at this charming historic home. The breakfast provided was absolutely amazing. The hosts, Lesley and John, made us feel incredibly welcome during our stay.

I recently stayed at a lovely bed and breakfast surrounded by gorgeous landscaped gardens and native bush. The room was comfortable and had a deck with a beautiful view of the garden and the sea beyond. The host, Lesley, was incredibly helpful and friendly, recommending some great local restaurants. The breakfast provided was amazing, with delicious homemade produce and a great atmosphere. it was a peaceful and enjoyable stay, and I would highly recommend Blythcliffe Bed & Breakfast.
