The motel is perfect for family-friendly activities, like pretending to catch swans on the lake or attempting to open a bottle of wine for the staff. The view from the patio is oh-so-instagrammable.

We loved the modern cube-shaped units with outside Lake-facing areas and BBQs. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen, along with the beautiful view of the lake, made our stay at Braxmere truly delightful.

The cabins were cozy and had comfortable beds. The views of the lake and enjoying the water activities were the best aspects of our weekend stay. We were also pleased with the easy access to nearby shops and restaurants to stock up on food and supplies.

although we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, we were disappointed at the lack of privacy in our unit and the noise from other guests. it was an okay stay but we wouldn't prioritize returning.

We had a lovely stay at a lodge with a beautiful view of Lake Taupo. The units were tastefully decorated and comfortable, and the nearby village of Turangi had plenty of shops for our needs. The location was perfect for us to do the Tongariro crossing the following day, and we found it to be within easy striking distance. The public baths in nearby Tokaanu were a great value, with a heated outdoor thermal pool. The staff were kind and helpful, even going the extra mile to make sure our unit was warm before our arrival during winter. it was a wonderful and fulfilling experience.

Located right on the side of the gorgeous lake, Braxmere offers a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience. Additionally, the proximity to the mountain allows for easy access to outdoor activities and breathtaking views.

The bed in some rooms may be a bit bouncy, causing slight partner disturbance for those with back issues.

The dinner at the restaurant was highly recommended, especially the locally fished prawns. Sleeping in the comfortable bed, in the spacious living area, allowed me to have a brilliant night's sleep. this place provided me with a luxurious and comfortable experience that I would definitely recommend to others.
