The location of the motel was fantastic, just a short walk to the beautiful lake and a nearby restaurant which we found very friendly and welcoming. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a big bathroom that even had a spa bath. The staff were extremely helpful and provided us with great local knowledge for our activities in the area.

The free Wi-Fi was a bit patchy at times, which made it a bit difficult to connect to the internet.

I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and tidy room at Colonial Lodge Motel. The beds were comfy and provided a good night's sleep. The lovely host welcomed us and even gave us a bottle of milk and biscuits. The view of Lake Taupo was stunning. The motel's location was also convenient, just a short walk to town. Although the wi-fi was a bit patchy, it was complimentary. I would recommend staying at this motel and would consider coming back in the future.

Great view of the lake from the room. Good location close to the city and restaurants. Clean bedding and towels.

The bathroom needs updating. Shower wasn't clean and some of the jets in the spa didn't work.
