My recent stay at Highway Lodge Motel was exceptional. The room was clean and tidy, with convenient parking just outside. The lady owner manager was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The motel also provided tea and coffee on-site, and there were options nearby for breakfast. Despite being on the main road, I didn't experience any noise disturbances. I highly recommend this motel for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

I recently stayed at a motel along the main street in Balclutha operated by a very nice local couple. The woman at the reception was very friendly and helpful. She gladly removed the breakfast from our bill when we changed our minds about purchasing it. She also provided us with directions to nearby grocery stores, as our room had a kitchenette. The room itself was clean and the beds were comfortable. it was a pleasant stay.
