The location of this hotel is great for exploring the town centre. There are some lovely cafes nearby, although the streets leading up to the hotel can be quite steep. The rooms are comfortable and staff are friendly and accommodating.

Some guests have reported the noise levels can be high during the night due to busy roads and nearby electrical transformers.

This hotel is great value for money. It has good facilities, comfortable rooms with a really nice view, and breakfast included in the rate. The location is also very convenient, in the CBD but up a steep hill, right at the top of the hill behind the cathedral. You can easily walk to many attractions.

We had an enjoyable stay at Kingsgate Hotel with our family. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily walk to all the attractions in town. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the beds provided a good night's sleep. The on-site restaurant was a great option, especially with kids in tow. The friendly staff added to the relaxed dining atmosphere. We also appreciated having access to SKY TV with all the kids channels. our stay was affordable and convenient, making it a great choice for families.

Convenient location close to the city center with good parking. Comfortable and warm rooms with private decks and opening windows. Wait staff were excellent and offered good food for both dinner and breakfast. Helpful and accommodative staff who fulfilled all the requests at the last-minute. Good amenities including Sky TV.

kingsgate hotel exceeded my expectations during my short visit to dunedin. the location was great for walking to the city centre and the reception staff were lovely. the room was clean and the restaurant served excellent food. overall, a pleasant stay.

Great location near the Octagon, helpful staff, and a delicious buffet breakfast to start the day. The hotel had nice views and was within walking distance of the mall.

I had the pleasure of being serenaded by the soothing sound of rushing water in the middle of the night. Who needs a lullaby when you can have your own private waterfall?

Had a blast during my Christmas stay! the cookies and hot cocoa were complimentary, which was a nice touch. the location was perfect, right in the heart of the city, with shops and restaurants all around. the room was cozy and clean, and the bed was super comfy.

The parking situation was a bit of a hassle, as there wasn't enough space for all the guests. the showerhead wasn't the best, it was quite spluttery and lacked pressure.

The bed was huge and comfortable, with quality linen. The balcony had a great view and was perfect for enjoying the city scenery. We loved the quick access to town and the central location. The TV was big with a great selection of channels. The restaurant had delicious food and the waiter provided excellent service.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The size of the suit was perfect for two people, and we were pleased to find plenty of power outlets to charge our gadgets overnight. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room itself was spacious. We were also blown away by the stunning view from our balcony. The hotel's location was ideal, as it was very close to town and we found the on-site restaurant to be excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, although there were some minor coordination issues. However, they made up for it with excellent follow-up when we were expecting a piece of mail that arrived after we had left. They promptly sent it to our next location by overnight mail. a great experience at Kingsgate Hotel!
