The hotel's location is fantastic, with easy access to the train station and close proximity to various attractions in Greymouth. The room was spacious and clean, with a great view of the sea and river. The hotel also offers an excellent on-site restaurant, serving delicious meals such as the Beef Rendang and perfectly cooked roasted vegetables. The staff were friendly and provided impeccable wine service, making for a memorable dining experience.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, as it is opposite the railway station, making it easy to access after the Tranzalpine crossing. The staff are friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for restaurants in the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, providing a pleasant stay.

For the price we paid, we were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable beds and clean linen. the location was great, right in the heart of the city, close to the bus/train station and Main Street. We particularly enjoyed the complementary dinner and breakfast buffet.

The rooms were quite old and shabby and could have done with a renovation. the WiFi was only available in certain rooms and not accessible from our room.

We had a lovely stay at Kingsgate in a clean, bright, and large room. the location was excellent, just a short walk from the railway station and main street. We enjoyed the views of the river from our room and found the beds to be very comfortable. the staff were great and extremely helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate our requests, such as providing fresh fruit salad for dessert even though it wasn't on the menu. the hotel also provided amenities such as coffee, tea, milks, and a hairdryer, and the wifi worked well.
