We had a wonderful stay at Mangapapa. the old buildings and the surrounding area were absolutely gorgeous. the staff provided top-notch service and our room was spacious and comfortable. the breakfast menu, consisting of both continental and cooked options, was excellent.

The location was great - close to both Havelock North and Napier. It was perfect for exploring the local towns and vineyards during our downtime. The hotel gardens were well-maintained and the homestead had a stylish yet comfortable ambiance. Our suite had a lovely private courtyard with beautiful views. The room was clean, spacious, and had modern amenities. And let's not forget about the bed, it was incredibly comfortable!

The lack of staff. It was clear that they were short-staffed and being taken advantage of by the owners.

We stayed at a luxury estate in Hawke's Bay and it was an unforgettable experience. the hotel had exclusive amenities, including a Spa and Wellness Centre with a sauna, outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, and massage services. the sun terrace and picnic tables were perfect for relaxing and dining outdoors. the beauty treatments and facial massages were superb, fulfilling all our luxurious needs.

The only minor issue we experienced was the location of the hotel, which was a bit remote and required driving on winding roads. we felt that this was a small inconvenience given all of the good things the hotel had to offer.

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and given a tour of the stunning property. Our suite was modern, spacious, and cozy, providing the perfect retreat for my wife's birthday celebration. The 5-course dinner with our chosen wines was absolutely delicious, and breakfast the following morning was a delightful start to our day. The attention to detail and the attentive staff made our stay truly special. Despite the wet weather, we had a wonderful time and could imagine how beautiful the property would be in better conditions. I highly recommend Mangapapa for a memorable and indulgent getaway.

The hotel gardens are immaculate, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere for relaxation. Additionally, the friendly and attentive staff ensure that every guest's needs are met, creating a memorable and enjoyable stay.

The bathroom hand basin in our room had a faulty plug, causing water to leak out.

The rooms were very comfortable and the food was delicious. the location is also great as it is close to many local wineries and attractions.

The service was subpar. the staff were not very attentive and seemed uninterested in helping us with our needs.
