Loved the Monk family's West Coast hospitality and the delicious food. The bar with pool tables was a cool spot to hang out. Unwinding with a drink in hand was pure bliss.

Oh, what a shame there was no AC in the room. But who needs cool air on a hot day?

We enjoyed having access to a mini fridge and a microwave, which made our Thanksgiving leftovers easy to store and reheat. the location was close to the main road, making it convenient for traveling in any direction. The hotel was a little far from the town center, making it a bit of a drive to get to shops and restaurants. However, this wasn't a big issue as the hotel's restaurant offered good food and service.

Our favorite accommodation on our trip from the North to the South Island. Late arrival at 9pm, but the manager arranged delicious pizzas. Lovely 2 bedroom unit with comfy beds. Excellent breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff. Highly recommend this gem of a place.
