The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Complimentary soup and chocolate pudding in the evening was a nice touch. the room was clean and comfortable. the continental-style breakfast was good. the location was very convenient, just a short drive away from the ferry terminal.

The WiFi didn't reach our room at the back of the property, but it worked perfectly in the reception and main areas.

As longer term business travellers, we really appreciated the clean and well-maintained facilities at this lodge. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The lodge had a homely atmosphere and provided a complimentary breakfast and delicious hot pudding and ice cream. We also enjoyed the recreational activities such as playing chess in the garden and the option to use the main lodge for an extended period of time. it was the most affordable accommodation in the area with superb customer service.

We felt at ease during our stay and nothing was too much trouble for the owner and staff.

I had a wonderful third stay at Sequoia Lodge Backpackers. The location is perfect, within walking distance to town and close to the Ferry. The chocolate pudding and morning breakfast were delicious. The bathrooms were clean and the overall atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Graeme, the staff member, was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with a free lift to the wharf for our water taxi. The complimentary breakfast and additional treats like soup and ice cream were a great bonus. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting.
