The location is convenient, situated in a lovely area by Highway 1 and close to the township. The shared facilities are of great quality, with a chill out room featuring a pool/snooker table.

Some guests can be noisy, especially in the early morning when walking along the pathway outside the rooms.

Fly fishing and hiking groups, unite! The lodge is the perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts. The communal lounge with a wood burner fire is great for gatherings and storytelling. The tour desk organizes fishing trips, rafting, and Tongariro Crossing trips. So much fun!

This lodge offers comfortable rooms and excellent facilities for cooking and eating, including a fish cleaning and cooking area. The hosts are friendly, knowledgeable, and provide great recommendations for activities in the area. The kitchen and dining areas are separate from the rooms, but they are very clean and well-equipped. The ensuite bathrooms may be small, but they have excellent shower pressure. this budget stay is highly recommended.

Guests felt safe walking at night and found that the staff were always helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond their duties. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

We loved the convenience and comfort of our stay at this lodge. The en suite bathroom was clean and the shower was amazing. Although there were no cooking facilities in our unit, the well-equipped kitchen and lounge area had everything we needed for our overnight stay. The hosts were excellent and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The motel's location just off the main road meant no road noise, and the self-service laundry and great WiFi were a bonus. we highly recommend this hotel.

The stay was an amazing experience over New Year's! the room had a great modern bathroom with a wonderful laundry facility that came in handy. the shared dining area was a great place to meet other guests from around the world, and we enjoyed the relaxed and informal atmosphere. the location was perfect for visiting nearby attractions and there was a supermarket within walking distance to pick up any essentials we needed.
