I had an absolutely amazing stay at this luxurious lodge nestled high in the hills. The stunning views overlooking the village were breathtaking. The room was beautifully presented and the daily housekeeping ensured everything was immaculate. The in-room amenities, such as the ironing facilities, heating, and tea and coffee facilities, made my stay even more comfortable. I loved relaxing in the jacuzzi on the patio each night, it was such a treat. The gourmet breakfast served there in the morning was simply delicious.

I would highly recommend this hotel to my family. The service was top-notch, the room was comfortable and well-equipped, and the location was perfect for enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

We were able to relax and unwind in our private hot tub, enjoying the peacefulness and serenity of the surroundings. The accommodations were spotless and decorated with a stylish and homely touch. The little details, like fresh milk and homemade cookies, made us feel truly pampered. The owners, Peter and Katalina, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. They provided us with maps and recommendations for activities in the area, which added to the enjoyment of our trip. Located high in the hills overlooking the village of Paihia, Tarlton's Lodge offers a picturesque getaway in the Bay of Islands area of New Zealand. The rooms are clean and tidy, with luxurious bedding and soft, fluffy bath towels. Guests can relax in the private spa on their balcony, enjoying the stunning view over the Bay of Islands. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, providing delicious breakfasts and helpful suggestions for activities in the area.

Other amenities could use some improvement.

The hotel was situated on a hill which gave us amazing views. We felt safe walking to town using the sidewalk provided. , we loved the luxurious spa in our room. We were pleasantly surprised to find a fridge and provisions for tea/coffee, including home-made cookies.

The designated parking spots were a bit tight, and we struggled to fit in with a full-size sedan, which might prove challenging for larger cars.
