The location was perfect for exploring the Art Deco Trust and shopping area. The staff were attentive and friendly, making our check-in process quick and easy. They even showed us around the hotel upon arrival. The rooms were excellent and we loved having Netflix in the room for some relaxation. The food was top-notch, and we particularly enjoyed the tasty cocktails and whiskey at Churchill's Bar. The little extras like complimentary fruit and port were a thoughtful touch. We can't wait to come back!

Just a stone's throw from the beach and town center, the hotel is beautifully maintained and full of delightful surprises. The room decor, though older, adds to the hotel's charm. We were greeted with a lovely welcome letter and a dish of mini cakes in our room. The hotel also offers free parking and a full mini bar, a rare find during our week-long journey. The staff's helpfulness and attention to detail made us feel right at home.

Spa Bath: I felt like I was soaking in a luxurious wine barrel, surrounded by bubbles and sipping on a glass of Hawke's Bay's finest. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring the art deco streets of Napier.

Shower Curtain: Short and ineffective, it was like trying to cover a splash zone with a cocktail umbrella. A minor inconvenience in an otherwise delightful stay.

Stayed at a beautiful old hotel in a central location. Spacious, clean and comfortable room with lovely furnishings. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Sherrie in the restaurant. Enjoyed delicious meals at the hotel's restaurant, which offered great value. The hotel had nice little touches, like an in-house library and complimentary port. Would definitely stay here again.

We were thrilled with the warm and welcoming atmosphere of this beautifully refurbished hotel. The original timbers and characterful décor added to its charm. The friendly duty manager, John, went above and beyond to share his knowledge of the building and its offerings. We enjoyed delicious food in the bar, served by the lovely and knowledgeable Maddy. The wine suggestions and recommendations for activities were greatly appreciated. The complimentary glass of port in the cozy library was a delightful touch. We also loved the little extras like fruit, fairy cakes, and towels. As bike riders, we appreciated the bike-friendly facilities, workshops, and activities available.

We felt incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon this gem of a hotel. Our entire experience was fantastic, and we have no complaints whatsoever.

Everything was spot on.

The room was beautifully furnished and decorated in keeping with the era of the hotel, which gave it a unique and nostalgic feel. the staff were friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. the location was great, being close to the shopping area and Marine Parade. We also loved the cozy bar and the fresh baking left in our room each day.

The bathroom location in the room felt a bit awkward and the room itself was a bit small and felt crowded. Despite these minor issues, the overall ambience and the quality of the food were still good.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the food in the restaurant was delicious, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect for the Art Deco weekend celebrations.
