We had a delightful stay at a stunning hotel in a restored part of the city post-quake. the friendly staff, pleasant breakfast, and tasteful decor added to the charm. Its location within walking distance to various attractions made exploring convenient. the spacious room with a comfortable bed and amenities provided a restful retreat.

the location near the gardens and city center was central for exploring. the breakfast was delicious but lacked options for diabetics. the room was spacious and stylish, the bed was ultra-comfy. the hotel also offers great leisure facilities with massages available. A gem for exploring christchurch! 🌟.

I loved the cleanliness and unique boutique feel of the hotel. the location right by the Botanical Gardens was perfect for evening strolls. the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially Sophie at the front desk. the hotel facilities were beautifully restored and the drawing room was a cozy space to relax.

Located in a stunning location with the historic Arts Centre, this hotel offers a unique and luxurious experience. The staff were outstanding, going above and beyond to accommodate guests' needs. The rooms were beautifully refurbished, with a classy and personalized design. The hotel is also conveniently situated near the gardens and cafes, making it easy to explore the area.

Some noise from outside can be heard due to the thin windows, but this is a small inconvenience in a hotel of this caliber.

The hotel was housed in a beautiful building and had a great cafe/bar on site. It was conveniently located close to main restaurants, bars, and the park. the breakfast, while basic, was adequate and included added extras like coffee to take out during the day in the lounge.

What a STUNNING hotel! The best I have stayed in for a while. From the decor and building to the customer service - everything was perfect. It was a breathe of fresh air being welcome to the Observatory! Great location, super clean and new, great common area to work in as well. I got a basic room and it was very spacious. Lovely breakfast with gluten-free options. Handy location for walking to Riverside markets and other dining places close by. There is a tram stop nearby and the botanic gardens are just across the road. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillow choices. The large lounge area with reading material and tea and coffee facilities was a nice and cozy place to relax. It's a stunning space, transportive to another time and place. A great place to sit and read a book. Sophie on the front desk was absolutely delightful, the best hospitality service we have ever had. She really made our experience go from average to incredibly impressed.

We had a fantastic stay at the Observatory Hotel. the location was perfect, right in the heart of the city and near beautiful attractions like the Botanic Gardens and the Christchurch Art Gallery. the hotel itself is stunning, with stylish and newly renovated rooms. the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We especially loved the on-site cafe/bar, and the restaurant/wine bar across the courtyard was fabulous.

I had an amazing stay at the Observatory Hotel! The beautiful boutique hotel had a wonderful room with stunning period decor and it was incredibly spacious. The location was perfect, allowing me to easily explore the nearby Riverside markets and dining places. Plus, the hotel is just a short walk to the shops and there's a tram stop nearby for convenient transportation. The staff were incredibly friendly and Helen made me feel right at home during breakfast, even offering gluten-free options. The hotel had a lovely lounge area with reading material and tea and coffee facilities, creating a cozy atmosphere for relaxation. I particularly enjoyed the free coffee, tea, and fizzy water available all day long. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the bathroom was huge with a fabulous shower. Despite some minor drawbacks, like a strange smell in the lobby and a noisy room without double glazing, the overall experience was fantastic. I highly recommend staying at the Observatory Hotel for a delightful and comfortable stay in Christchurch!
