We had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay at this place. The cabins were spacious and well-equipped, with a nice kitchen and shower. The owner was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. He even joined in our music session and brought along a talented musician. The setting was idyllic, nestled in a beautiful garden with stunning views. We loved being surrounded by native birds and even saw blue penguins crossing the nearby carpark. The outdoor pizza oven was a great addition and perfect for socializing. this place provided a luxurious and comfortable experience, enhanced by the amazing location and friendly service.

We would highly recommend this venue to families and anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

The location of this hotel is truly amazing. It is situated in a beautiful garden with stunning views, and it's only a short walk to the beautiful Pohara beach. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms have great showers. The host, Steve, is welcoming and makes you feel at home. The breakfasts are delicious, and there are fantastic facilities such as a hot tub, sauna, BBQ, and pizza oven.

Some minor improvements could be made to the facilities, such as fixing the shower head and upgrading the single beds for better comfort.

The Sandcastle in Pohara was perfect. Roomy chalet with great amenities, amazing views, and a private, peaceful atmosphere. Dog-friendly with beautiful gardens and a short walk to the dog beach. Great location for exploring the surrounding areas. Wonderful host Steve made us feel at home. Looking forward to our next stay!

Great location for exploring the nearby National Park and easy access to all the attractions in the area. the view from the room was breathtaking and allowed for a lot of picturesque moments. the staff was friendly and always available to help with anything we needed.

The room felt a bit outdated and the facilities could have used some cleaning. There were some spider webs in the corners, and the bathroom could have been cleaner.

I recently stayed at The Sandcastle for a few days and it was a delightful experience. The decor was bright and cheerful, with lovely mats and an interesting old map on the wall. The bed was comfortable and warm, ensuring a good night's sleep. The peaceful and beautiful environment surrounded by birdsong added to the overall tranquility. The nostalgic feel of Bach's holidays in the seventies at Coromandel and Waiheke created a unique atmosphere. The meditative setting in bush surrounds was perfect for relaxation. Steve, the affable and laid-back host, made my stay even more enjoyable. He kindly upgraded me from a yurt to a bach due to the rain, and I was able to appreciate the serene view of the bay. The yoga session with Tracey was a great addition, providing a sense of serenity. The hotel was clean, offered good value for money, and provided a range of options for nearby attractions.
