The setting was breathtaking with beautiful surroundings and well-maintained property. The bar and restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with the option of enjoying a fireplace on a cold winter night. The staff at the front counter and restaurant were friendly and attentive. The complimentary canapés before dinner were a delightful touch.

Our family had an amazing time at Tongariro Lodge. The spacious villas were perfect for our larger family. The restaurant had an outstanding menu and the food was beautifully presented. The fishing guide did a great job. The location next to the Tongariro river was lovely and quiet. We woke up to the sound of birds outside our door. The staff at the lodge and restaurant were wonderful.

the chalet room I booked last minute was clean, tidy, and comfortable. the new bathroom with a shower was a great addition. the room had all the basics and more, including a bar fridge and good wifi. the lodge itself was beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. the view from the room in the morning was also quite impressive. the lodge had a central restaurant and spa, both of which were excellent. it was a great value for a weekend away.

We had an incredible stay at a scenic and cosy lodge with a Chalet room that had a balcony overlooking the beautiful mountain view. Enjoying a glass of wine and chatting with our friendly Chalet neighbors during sunset was simply amazing. the lodge's restaurant was a definite highlight, with delicious meals worth the extra money. the staff were great and always helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. the lodge was fully equipped and provided a warm and cosy atmosphere, perfect for our family with kids of different ages.

The lodge provides a cozy retreat with comfortable lounge chairs to relax in after a day of exploring.

The villa we stayed in lacked a clearly visible rubbish bin.
