Loved the spacious and cozy ski-lodge lounge with a roaring fire, perfect for sipping wine and playing board games. The surrounding gardens and walking tracks were stunning, especially the famous "wanaka tree" photo opportunity.

Oh, and who needs an instruction book for the frustrating oven? It's so much fun wasting time figuring it out!

We absolutely loved our stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location is perfect, nestled amongst beautiful quiet gardens and very near the lake. The spacious garden area provided a peaceful retreat where we could relax and unwind. The service was excellent, with helpful staff who made us feel right at home.

We had the most comfortable and enjoyable stay at Wanaka Homestead Lodge & Cottages. The Scandinavian-style chic decor made our room feel so cozy and spotlessly clean. The friendly owners and staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious, with a good choice and cooked to order. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and the outdoor surroundings were simply delightful. The free laundry service was an added bonus. We also appreciated the convenient on-site parking and the lovely 30-minute walk along the lake into town.

We had the best Christmas ever! the bed was so comfortable and the room was beautifully decorated. We loved the double shower and twin sinks in the bathroom. the breakfast served around a large communal table was fun as we got to know other guests and the scrambled eggs and bacon were freshly cooked. the property was conveniently situated close to the Wannaka tree and other attractions.

We wished we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay at a cozy lodge on the shores of Lake Wanaka. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. The hosts were friendly and provided great recommendations for nearby restaurants. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, including homemade muffins. The location was convenient, just a short walk into town. We also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and exploring the beautiful surrounding area.

The room size was slightly small, but still comfortable and inviting.

I can't thank Kaalene and Allan enough for their wonderful hosting at Homestead Lodge & Cottages. From the delicious breakfast and sweet treats made by Kaalene, to Allan's fabulous poached eggs, every detail was outstanding. They provided plenty of advice on what to do, see, and eat in Wanaka, making our stay even more enjoyable. the lodge itself is beautiful and comfortable, and we loved relaxing in the spa. Can't wait for our next trip!
