Excellent location near the central square, restaurants, and transportation. Room was clean, big, and comfortable with stunning views. Staff was friendly and helpful, providing luggage handling and recommendations for good restaurants. Breakfast and dinner served in the hotel restaurant were delicious and fresh.

The value for money at Tierra Viva was excellent, with clean and comfortable rooms, a stunning view, and a convenient location near the train station. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, providing recommendations and even offering a small shower room for us to freshen up before check-in.

The breakfast offerings could be improved by providing options to order eggs cooked to personal preference, such as fried or over easy.

The hotel was just a few minutes from the train station, perfect for bike riders. Staff met us at the train and were extremely helpful throughout our stay. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a stunning view of the river. The front desk gave great recommendations for dining and helped us with getting bus tickets to Machu Picchu. Breakfast was included and delicious.

It was conveniently by the bus stop that takes you to Machu Picchu, which was a huge plus for me. The location was right on the river and the view from my room was stunning. The room had a lovely sitting area and a terrace where I could relax and enjoy the view. I was impressed with the room amenities, including heating, air conditioning, and tea and coffee facilities. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The location in front of the river was excellent for taking shuttles into Machu Picchu. We loved that it was just in front of the bus stop, making it so convenient for us to hop on and off easily. The fact that it was only a one-minute walk from the boarding point of the buses to Machu Picchu was a huge bonus. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, with room service, medical facilities, and laundry services available. The room amenities, including heating and air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, a mini-bar, and a sitting area, made our stay even more comfortable. We also appreciated the free Wi-Fi in rooms, which allowed us to stay connected. this place provided us with a memorable and comfortable stay.

Highly recommended for everyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

Conveniently located. Hotel staff met us at the train station and helped with our bags and showed us where to buy bus tickets to Machu Picchu. Our room was big and comfortable with a beautiful view of the mountains and river. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good and filling. a great stay.

Located in a tranquil area by the river, this hotel is an excellent choice for a visit to the nearby attraction. The bus station for Machu Picchu is just across the street, which makes commuting easy. The room was spotlessly clean with a great shower, and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing us with excellent restaurant recommendations and travel advice. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide range of options to choose from. Moreover, we enjoyed our meals in the hotel's in-house restaurant, which was better than the other places in the town.

The noise from the train passing by could be heard from the room, which may be bothersome for light sleepers.

The location was perfect, not far from the center of it all yet removed enough that it was quiet and peaceful. The staff went above and beyond, assisting with storing luggage and even offering to drop our bags at the train station. The breakfast was excellent, and I loved that they opened early to accommodate tours. The hotel's proximity to the bus station to Machu Picchu made exploring the area incredibly convenient.

We stayed at Tierra Viva for a night after completing the Inca Trail. the hotel exceeded our expectations! the room was spacious and comfortable, while the service was outstanding. From meeting us at the train station to carrying our bags and accommodating our early arrival, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay stress-free. the location was also great, with easy access to the bus to Machu Picchu and the train station. the breakfast buffet was delicious, and there were plenty of 110v plugs for US travelers. we highly recommend Tierra Viva for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. The location was perfect, as it was close to the bus stop for Machu Picchu and within easy walking distance to the trains and restaurants. The hotel staff, especially Wilder and Isolda, were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We also appreciated the delicious breakfast and the convenience of having tea available 24/7. Additionally, the hotel offered transportation services, including meeting us at the train station and delivering our luggage to the station when we checked out.

Breakfast was an absolute treat with fresh juices and omelette/fried eggs station. Loved the twice-per-day housekeeping service and complimentary bottled water was a big plus. the location of the hotel was unbeatable, with easy access to the main attractions in the area.

Could improve on restaurant staff attention, as the waiter was busy talking on the phone and showing pictures to some customers instead of taking care of all guests. would have been nice to have more options for customizing eggs, as the scrambled eggs were too moist and there was no option to order eggs made to order.
