Central location, overlooking main square. 5 min walk to ferry for Tavira Island. Spacious, clean room and ensuite. Loved the shared kitchen, felt like home. Efficient heating in January.

I had a wonderful stay at Formosa Guest House for a weekend getaway. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. The location in the centre was perfect, with a beautiful view of the square and river from my room's balcony. The cleanliness of the premises, including the kitchen, was superb and I loved the cute animal marks on the packed dishes. The sunrise from my room was stunning and there were amazing restaurants and cafes nearby. I also appreciated the spacious room with plenty of daylight and the fact that I only had to share the bathroom with one other room.

Stayed at this lovely guest house for a few nights. Perfect location in the heart of town, with friendly staff and a spacious room. The kitchen facilities were great for breakfast, and there were plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel is clean and well-kept, with a separate lounge area for TV. Will definitely return!

Great location in the heart of the city with a fabulous view. Clean and well-appointed rooms with big french doors. Helpful staff and a lovely rooftop deck and garden. Enjoyed the skittish cats in the garden. Loved the personal cupboard and fridge space, as well as the honesty box coffee machine.

The location of this guest house was absolutely fantastic. It was right on the river, with stunning views of the square and the Roman bridge. Being within walking distance from the train station and close to buses made it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. the room was large, airy and had a small balcony overlooking the square, which was a great spot to relax and enjoy the views.

One thing that I didn't like was the lack of an elevator. The guest house was on the upper floors, so if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage, it might be a bit challenging.

Our stay at the guest house was truly delightful. We were welcomed warmly by Paula, who made us feel right at home. The Canard room we stayed in had stunning views of the Roman Bridge and town square. The facilities were top-notch, including a well-equipped kitchen. The rooms and shared bathrooms were immaculately clean, and we appreciated the provided bath robes. The new roof terrace was a standout feature, perfect for enjoying a drink while taking in the panoramic views. And the icing on the cake was the orchestra playing on the square below, creating a magical atmosphere. I highly recommend this guest house for a wonderful stay.

The location of the guesthouse is unbeatable, right next to the Roman bridge with breathtaking views over the river. Plus, there's a wonderful cafe downstairs where you can enjoy your breakfast while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the town square.

The double bed in our room was a bit small for our comfort, making it difficult for me to get a good night's sleep.

I recently had a fantastic stay in a charming guest house in a great location. The guest house is right next to a beautiful Roman bridge, offering wonderful views over the river. The room I stayed in was light and very clean, and the shared kitchen was well-equipped, including a washing machine. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. the nearby restaurants and easy access to public transportation were a definite advantage.

There was one small inconvenience during my stay. The street lamp right outside my room was a bit bothersome, as the light shone into the room at night.

Limited kitchen amenities for self-catering.

The guest house is located right in the heart of the city, adjacent to the very charming Roman Bridge that crosses the Gilao river. You'll have easy access to great restaurants too. The rooms are amazing, with king size beds and beautiful period furniture. The shared bathrooms are immaculately clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

The kitchen could be a bit warmer throughout the day and night.

Perfect location near the Roman bridge, bus station, restaurants, bars, and ferry to Ilha de Tavira. Friendly staff, well-equipped kitchen, separate cupboards for each room.

The square in which it was located had nearby shopping facilities, restaurants, and even a bike hire shop. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was air conditioning. The shared kitchenette was well-organized and clean, and there was even a rooftop terrace. The staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to contact. I had a very satisfying experience and would consider this guest house my home away from home in Tavira.

Felt lucky, no complaints.
