This hotel is a hidden gem! It's perfectly located in a quiet area, yet still in the city center with all restaurants and shops within walking distance. The value for money is outstanding, especially considering the attention to detail and the fantastic service provided by the staff. The rooms are basic but kept immaculately clean, with a lovely balcony where you can relax and enjoy the view. The breakfast, although with only 2 options, offers a fantastic variety of both hot and cold options, ensuring there's something for everyone's taste.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Old Town, near the cathedral and close to the harbor, making it easy to explore the city. You can also take a leisurely stroll down to the cable cars for panoramic views of the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with amenities such as TV, fan, and reliable Wi-Fi. The friendly and multilingual staff goes out of their way to provide excellent service. The breakfast offers a wide selection of juices, meats, breads, cereals, and fruit.

The hotel could benefit from some modern updates.

I had a fantastic stay at a hotel in Madeira. the staff at Do Carmo went above and beyond to make our honeymoon trip special. the location of the hotel was perfect, right in the heart of the city. the room was clean and had a lovely balcony where we could relax. One of the highlights was the fabulous rooftop swimming pool.

The hotel was in a convenient location close to shops, the city center, and also the seaside. the rooftop pool was a nice touch and had showers available. Wi-Fi was free and accessible throughout the entire hotel.

There was no mini-fridge in the room to store refreshments or baby food. the noise from the spare bed, which was quite uncomfortable, made it hard to get a good night's sleep.

The staff was incredibly nice, welcoming me with a bottle of champagne for my honeymoon. They even made a special breakfast for me when I had to leave early in the morning. The swimming pool, though small, had a beautiful view of the city. The rooms were nicely remodeled and the bed was comfortable.

No negatives from this place.

The location of this little gem is perfect for friends who love going out at nights - only a short walk to the Mercado and main festival areas.

Loved the unique 60's retro theme throughout the hotel. The beds were comfy and the rooms were spotless. The rooftop pool and terrace had stunning views over Funchal. The hotel's location was perfect, with just a short walk to the promenade, old town, and cathedral. The price to value ratio was excellent, and there were plenty of nice restaurants nearby.

Great staff, delicious breakfast, spacious room with comfy beds, daily cleaning, excellent location. Enjoyed the surprise birthday bottle of bubbly. Superb rooftop view, nice pool, friendly reception. Nice surprise with a glass of bubbles on arrival.
