As low-budget travellers, we loved the history of the hotel and its resemblance to the Cathedral in Ukraine. The administration kindly offered us an early check-in, saving us from wait after our long flight. The complimentary water and chocolate were a nice touch. The daily cleaning was excellent, and the room size and bed were comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous, except for the overly salty roasted vegetable mix. The location was also excellent, with easy parking and spacious, tasteful rooms.

The bed in our room was very comfortable and the extra large room size was a pleasant surprise. The location of the Pousada was perfect for visiting the summer palace, which felt like Portugal's own Versailles. our experience was delightful and we would highly recommend staying here.

I recently stayed at a lovely hotel that took me back to the times of Queen Maria I of Portugal. The hotel, located across from her palace, is small and quiet, housed in a beautiful old freestanding building. The rooms are spacious and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The historic building has been beautifully remodeled, with nice common spaces and lots of touches that pay homage to Dona Maria I. The breakfast included was beyond expectations, offering a wide variety of items. It's a great place to stay if you're interested in history and touring the Palace.
