We had the times of our lives at Elephant Plains! Ranger Ted and Tracker Colbert were incredible professionals with vast knowledge and passion. They showed us the Big 5 and more in just 2 game drives. The staff took amazing care of us and the food was delicious. We will definitely be returning!

I stayed at a lodge located in a prime wildlife area with knowledgeable and friendly guides who ensured I had an unforgettable experience. The spacious room had a luxurious bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers. The staff provided exceptional service and the chef prepared delicious meals. The lodge offered amenities such as bug spray and raincoats, as well as laundry services. The location allowed for breathtaking views of watering holes and open grasslands during morning and evening drives.

The lodge lacked Wi-Fi in the rooms, although it was available near the living room window.

The location of the lodge is absolutely stunning, with open plains and a waterhole providing a delightful view from the Luxury Suites. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with the added advantage of a deck to enjoy the scenery. The game drives are a highlight, with knowledgeable guides and trackers ensuring sightings of the Big 5 and other wildlife. The vegetarian meals offered are delicious and creative, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.

The common areas, where the wifi is available, can get uncomfortable during hot weather as they are not air-conditioned.

the property is absolutely beautiful and perfect for an upscale safari experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. the game drives were exceptional, with our ranger and spotter ensuring that we got up close to the animals for amazing viewing and photo opportunities. We even had the opportunity to see the Big Five, including two lion brothers feasting on a buffalo kill. the night drive provided a unique experience of seeing nocturnal animals and the breathtaking South African sky. the lodge itself was clean, tastefully decorated, and comfortable, with luxurious amenities. the meals, including a traditional South African Braii, were delicious and accommodated dietary restrictions. our experience at Elephant Plains was outstanding.

There was nothing I didn't like 😊

We had a fantastic 3-day safari at Elephant Plains in Sabi Sands. Good food, great service, comfortable rooms, and affordable prices. Lovely Boma fire dinners and drinks at the bar. The game drives were amazing, with excellent sightings of lions mating, wild dogs, leopards. The breakfast catered to all tastes and the choice of cocktails was a special touch. A truly outstanding holiday experience.

The common areas and cabins were beautiful, staff was extremely friendly, game drives and bush walks were excellent, breakfast and dinner served outdoors were outstanding.

elephant plains game lodge in sabi sand game reserve exceeded our expectations during this quiet weekend. the staff were wonderful, the food was exceptional, and the accommodations were top-notch. definitely the best value in the area.

vegan options were lacking

However, there were a couple of positives during our stay. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, providing a cozy atmosphere to relax in. the hotel had a beautiful pool area where we could cool off and enjoy some sunshine. Lastly, the advantage of being surrounded by nature and wildlife was a unique experience, and we enjoyed being able to observe the animals from a close distance.

there were only limited Christmas decorations, which didn't create a festive atmosphere. the staff seemed unenthusiastic and not very welcoming, which dampened our holiday spirit.

Great value for money, the room was amazing with a beautiful view. The location was perfect, we saw so many animals. The staff treated us like VIPs, really attentive and kind.

Food for breakfast could have had more variety.

The game drives and guides were amazing, getting very close to the animals. Delicious food and a big selection at the restaurant. Highly recommend this place, especially with Gerrit as a guide.
