Emafweni Villa, run by the welcoming hosts Rita and Jens, exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. They provided invaluable tips on the best hikes in the area, including Blindman's corner and Hlatikhulu forest, which offered breathtaking views. the location of the cottage was simply unbeatable, with stunning mountain vistas that could be enjoyed right from the veranda.

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely lakeside cottage for one night and it was absolutely wonderful. the owners, Rita and her partner, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Rita took the time to give us great recommendations for activities and shared her knowledge of the surrounding area. the cottage itself was beautifully situated amidst stunning flowers and trees, with a breathtaking view of the mountain. It was the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. the amenities were excellent, including a spacious bath, electric blanket, fireplace, and even a dishwasher. the location was also ideal, just a short 5-minute drive to Monks Cowl for some amazing hikes, and there were convenient shops and a bakery just 15 minutes away. I can't wait to return and stay here again during my next visit to South Africa.

We had the most incredible experience at Emafweni Villa. the cottage was absolutely cozy and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Our hosts, Dr Rita & Dr Jens Jacobsen, were very attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. the skylight in the bedroom allowed us to watch the stars from bed, and the cosy fireplace and hot water bottles kept us warm throughout the night. the kitchen was well-stocked with all the utensils we needed, and we loved the personalized welcome note and flower arrangement. the secluded location provided a tranquil atmosphere, with a lovely view of the lake. We can't wait to visit again soon!
