Inconsistent room quality, with some rooms being too small or having a musty odor. Paddle boats were not well maintained and not enjoyable to use.

The charming canoe ride on the river, the beautiful Tree Tops room with stunning views, and the exceptional breakfast overlooking the river were highlights. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations. The only downsides were the lack of main lighting in the room and a somewhat musty smell.

The beach was just a short walk away, and there were plenty of restaurants along the river. The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel well taken care of. The room itself was lovely, with a cozy sitting area and a terrace where I could unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The amenities provided were also top-notch, from the in-room safe to the electric blankets. I was truly impressed with the comfort and quality this place offered.

I had a wonderful stay at a beautiful lodge on the water. The rooms were stylish and clean, and the staff was friendly. The location was perfect, with a beach and nature park nearby. We spent an amazing Christmas holiday at a peaceful retreat by the water. the rooms were very nicely decorated and comfortable. We were recommended a fabulous restaurant nearby to have some delicious local cuisine. the location was great for easy access to nearby attractions.

We had some trouble with the internet connection in our room, but it worked fine in common areas. the price was a little higher than some other places we had stayed during our trip.

Located right at the waterside, Moontide Riverside Lodge is the perfect base for exploring the numerous Wilderness sites. Down a private path, this lodge offers easy access to a beautiful river full of birdlife. The rooms are well-appointed and charming, with tasteful decor and unique features. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay, like transferring guests to different rooms in case of any issues. The breakfast is fantastic, with a variety of options to choose from. Guests can also enjoy free activities such as canoeing and fishing.

The only downside is the slightly higher than average price compared to other properties in the area.

Despite being surrounded by nature, the beach was just a short walk away, offering the best of both worlds. the daily breakfasts were a delight, with a variety of made-to-order options. Moontide Riverside Lodge truly exceeded our expectations and became one of our favorite places during our South Africa road trip.

Canoe paddle on river upon arrival. Decent resto within walking distance for dinner. Handmade breakfast with river view. Friendly staff. Would return.
