We had an incredible experience at Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. They went above and beyond by waking us up for breakfast and even keeping the facility open just for us. The location of the lodge is perfect, right next to the breathtaking Drakensberg amphitheater. It's the closest lodge to the upper Berg, making it convenient for hiking. Speaking of which, the hikes in the area were some of the best and slightly dangerous ones we've ever done. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and we highly recommend staying here for a night or two to fully enjoy the beauty of the amphitheater.

The location was perfect for a weekend getaway, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and with easy access to Royal Natal reserve and mountain biking trails. Location is amazing with easy access to stunning hikes, including the famous Tugela Falls and Amphitheatre. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious with options to keep you fueled for a day of hiking. The restaurant serves tasty rump steak. Views from the rooms are beautiful, especially if you request a mountain view.

The room upgrades at the resort were impressive and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The spacious rooms offered breathtaking views of the mountains, especially from the Sentinel rooms. It was amazing to be able to step out of the room and start a hike, as the resort had access to footpaths in RNNP. the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast provided was great.

That the outside lights remained on all night, and the curtain over the door didn't darken the room, which made it difficult to sleep. Another inconvenience was that the Wi-Fi was only available in the restaurant.

The location of this mountain lodge is absolutely breathtaking, with wonderful scenic views and a great starting point for hiking to nearby falls. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed and a spacious shower. The staff are friendly and helpful, readily accommodating requests such as moving to a room with a view. the lodge offers a spa for relaxation and rejuvenation.

The food options for vegetarians and vegans were limited, with a set menu that didn't provide much choice.

I recently stayed at Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge for a hiking trip and had an amazing time. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views of the Northern Drakensberg. The hotel is well-equipped for hikers, offering maps, shuttle drives, and even packed lunches. The staff, especially the manager Evet, were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with electric warm-up beds. The ambiance of the hotel is friendly and welcoming, with a sense of community among guests. it was the perfect place for a hiking adventure.
