Wi-fi was reliable, and the breakfast spread was truly ample. Missed having an electric kettle.

Staying at Hotel California felt like a cozy retreat. The delicious pastries at breakfast brought comfort, and the friendly staff made wandering the Gothic Quarter even more delightful.

However, the breakfast could be limited for those seeking more variety, and the ongoing renovations made some areas feel less inviting. It was a mixed experience overall.

the hotel had a repulsive smell upon entering my room, and don’t even get me started on the unhelpful staff. When I asked for an upgrade or complimentary gesture, I was met with nothing but blank stares. Breakfast? Limited and totally unsatisfying, nothing compared to what I could have had elsewhere. almost gave a good review, but couldn’t.

Great location in the Gothic Quarter, basic but clean rooms, great air conditioning, and helpful staff made our stay awesome.

The hotel is centrally located in Barcelona, and we loved taking short walks with our grandchildren to vibrant squares packed with restaurants and shops. The buffet breakfast was a hit, especially the delicious pastries! The kids enjoyed the lively atmosphere while we appreciated the nearby ocean views.

My wife says that the breakfast could use more variety for kids.

the bed was rock hard (ouch! ). but the great location was just a minute from la rambla! ! breakfast was simple but there was plenty of fresh bread, meats, and pastries. the staff was really friendly and helpful too.

My room was okay but felt a bit outdated. it was not as good as hoped. Overall, it was enjoyable, and I might return. It was nice to experience the hospitality that reminded me of home.

Hotel California provided a delightful stay with its fantastic location just off a side street from Las Ramblas. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. My clean room had all the essentials, including air conditioning for comfort. The continental breakfast, although basic, was always fresh and satisfying. Such a gem in the heart of Barcelona!

So much to love! Clean rooms with comfy beds and breakfast is a tasty treat… especially those yummy pastries! Plus, the location is perfect for exploring lots of local spots. The staff were super friendly too!
