Casa Puertas Guest House is a hidden gem with large rooms, soothing ocean views, and the sound of waves to lull you to sleep. the homemade jams and cakes at breakfast were a delightful touch. the decor was beautiful, staying true to its period, and every detail was in perfect order. the three women who own this guest house truly understand their business and love what they do. It was our favorite place during our four weeks in Spain.

Christmas at this hotel was amazing! the owners were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. We loved the fact that our room had a fantastic view of the sea, it was such a treat to wake up to that every morning. the room was also spotlessly clean and in great condition. Another great aspect was the fast wireless connection, which was perfect for staying connected with family and friends during the holiday season. Plus, the direct access to the sea through the private garden was a huge bonus, especially since we could hang our clothes to dry after a long day of exploring. our Christmas stay was a truly memorable experience.

As for the negative aspects, the only thing we disliked was the distance from our home. We wished we were closer so that we could visit again more easily.

The rooms were charming and the building itself was impeccably maintained. The hotel had a lovely Parlor and Kitchen, with board games, books, and a cozy fireplace for guests to enjoy. The location of the hotel was exceptional, offering a stunning view of the ocean. They even had a beautiful garden area right on the water with steps leading down. The breakfast provided was absolutely amazing, a full and delicious spread. this hotel exceeded all my expectations in terms of cleanliness, hotel facilities, staff, and location.

We also loved exploring the charming town of Caminha, with its lively plaza, church, and shops. Casa Puertas provided us with a delightful experience and is a great stop-off point for Camino walkers.

The hotel staff were friendly and tried their best to assist us, especially the cleaning lady who ensured our room was kept tidy each day. Additionally, the hotel's key location offered easy access to nearby attractions and amenities, making it convenient for exploring the area. our New Year's experience at this hotel was just average and could have been improved with better communication, room upkeep, and breakfast options

the language barrier was a challenge as the staff did not speak English. We relied on a translation app, which sometimes led to miscommunication and confusion.
