We had a fantastic time during our stay at Casa De Canilhas. The views of the Douro River were breathtaking, and it was the perfect peaceful and quiet retreat we were looking for. The staff was kind and welcoming, and the breakfast had a great variety of delicious options to choose from. The pool and sitting area were great for relaxation, and the parking area made it convenient for us to have our car nearby. We are already planning to come back!

Located high in the valley just outside Mesao Frio, the views of the surrounding vineyards are absolutely breathtaking. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a fantastic outdoor pool and tables where we could relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The breakfast provided was simply outstanding, featuring homemade cakes, delicious jams, cheeses, meats. The location of the hotel was perfect, situated among beautiful vineyards and just a short drive away from many other vineyards in the area.

The staff were super friendly and the service was top-notch. The basic amenities were great, and our room with an amazing view was clean and comfortable. We also loved the breakfast, which was served with a breathtaking view and included delicious local products.

I recently stayed at Casa De Canilhas for a weekend getaway. The location was perfect, tucked away in the valley with breathtaking views of the Duoro Valley. The staff were friendly and the rooms were stylishly antique yet comfortable, providing a perfect balance. Breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere relaxed. It was the ideal place to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the Douro valley away from tourist hotspots. Will definitely be back.

We had an amazing Christmas stay at a small hotel overlooking the stunning Douro river. the room was warm and cozy, and we were greeted with complimentary mulled wine and delicious homemade cookies. the breakfast was great with an abundance of fresh and local produce. We enjoyed lounging by the pool, soaking up the beautiful views all around us. the location offered the perfect blend of peace and tranquility, and was just a short drive away from nearby villages and towns.

That there were no restaurant options at the hotel. We had to go out and eat, which was not always easy given the remote location of the hotel.

Our breakfast was served to our terrace, allowing us to enjoy great food with a stunning view. There are also restaurants and cafes within walking distance, making it convenient. This place is a highlight that you should not miss!

The hotel was only 800m away from a nice restaurant, making it convenient for meals. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the bathroom was well-maintained. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, serving snacks and Port wine until late in the evening. The breakfast options are extensive, with picnic baskets delivered right to your room. The outdoor pool, although a bit chilly in March, would be perfect for warmer weather.

Finding fine dining options nearby can be a challenge, as the town has only a few family-style restaurants.
