I just returned from a lovely stay at a quirky mountain casa in Beires. Casa Rural Entresierras Bed & Breakfast was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. The clean, comfortable rooms were simple but cozy, and the manageress, who did everything from check-in to cooking, was incredibly friendly and helpful. She even took the time to explain the local fruits and produce grown in the area. Although there was no parking on-site, the well-lit and safe parking by the church only 50 meters away was convenient. If you're looking for a rural Spanish village experience and a taste of local cuisine, this is the place to be. The casa and bar definitely served as the social center for the village, and I loved sitting on the terrace chatting with the owner. The location in the beautiful Alpujarra mountains was also a plus, with the beaches of Almeria just an hour away. The staff made me feel welcome and remembered my name throughout my stay. They even went above and beyond to provide a guitar for my enjoyment. It was a wonderful experience and I particularly enjoyed being the only non-Spanish guest during my visit.
