i had a lovely stay at maria cristina this valentine's day. the charm of the colonial building and the beautiful garden bar truly exceeded my expectations, especially compared to my previous stays in mexico city. i loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it feel like home.

What a lovely spot! The bar in the garden was my fave—perfect for a chill evening. But the room was a tad small for my liking, and I coulda used a better bed. Overall, though, it was a solid stay!

Yet, be prepared for small, outdated rooms that may leave you longing for more comfort. The location is convenient, right in the heart of downtown, making exploration easy.

The room was awkwardly small for the price!!! I had to pay extra just to get a proper bed size, and it felt like stepping back in time!!! Carpets really need replacing or a good clean!!!

I dove into some hot sandwiches that were absolute delights! The garden at Maria Cristina was my secret hideaway for post-adventure brews, too. Plus, the staff really went above and beyond to make me feel at home during my six-night stay.

However, the internet was a bit tricky—slow, but good enough for emails. The beds? A bit of a nightmare for anyone who needs a plush mattress. No coffee maker in the room and ice was a trek to the restaurant. Yet the charm of the place totally shined through.

However, the furniture was outdated and the bed uncomfortable, which detracted from the experience. The small bathroom was a tight squeeze, making it less than ideal. The food, especially the appetizers, was tasty, helping to offset the room's shortcomings.
