I felt safe with the property's secure surroundings, and supermarkets nearby were convenient for snacks and essentials.

I ended up in this place somehow. So no need to waste time. I just wanted to sleep but the bed had other plans; it was like sleeping on stones. Soundproofing? Zero. I could hear the person next door humming Spanish tunes all night. the cleaner was louder than my alarm clock. Wi-fi? Ephemeral. If I wanted to hear strangers' conversations, I'd eavesdrop at a café. But hey, there's a sink in the room for washing hands at least.
