I recently had a wonderful bike riding experience at a resort along the beautiful Passikudah beach. The location was perfect, right on a great beach, with stunning views of the clear, still waters. The spacious rooms were clean and comfortable, with outdoor seating areas to relax and enjoy the scenery. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, with friendly and helpful assistance throughout my stay. The breakfast buffet was abundant and satisfying, offering a variety of delicious options. Additionally, the resort offered boat trips, including glass bottom boat rides and snorkeling, allowing me to explore the amazing marine life in the area.

The restaurant meals were on the expensive side, but the quality of the dishes served made up for it.

the staff were friendly, the rooms spacious and clean, and the grounds were well kept. the hotel had a large pool and opened onto a calm and safe beach. Snorkeling over the coral reef was enjoyable. the food was excellent, especially the Sri Lankan dishes, and the breakfast buffet was the best I've had in Sri Lanka. the location in the East of the country is unusual but worth supporting after the Tsunami and conflicts in the past.

As a solo traveler, I loved the spacious and clean bungalow-style rooms and the beautiful, well-kept grounds. The large pool and beach access were perfect for relaxation. The food, especially the Sri Lankan dishes, was excellent. The location in the East of the country offered a unique experience.

Spacious room with super king size beds, TV, seating area, and outdoor seating. Huge bathroom with good storage. Air conditioning cools room in the evening. Basic looking resort but excellent value for money. Beach area is beautiful with the option to use sun loungers at a nearby upmarket resort. Walk to Kalkudah beach for a secluded experience. Coconut grove farm visit is cheap and informative. Friendly staff, especially Paul. Plentiful buffet for breakfast and dinner. Boat trips offer glass bottom boat and snorkeling. Location is excellent right on a remote beach. Great pool.

Our Christmas stay was amazing! the wide and pristine beach was perfect to relax and enjoy the sunsets. the staff was friendly and attentive, offering us two complimentary drinks on our arrival. the location was great, with easy access to a local seafood restaurant and several shops. we appreciated the free shuttle service provided to explore nearby attractions.

Some aspects of our stay could have been improved. the bathroom towels were a bit worn out and the flowerbeds could have been better maintained.

The room was spacious and impeccably clean, and the daily cleaning and changing of towels were greatly appreciated. The amenities provided were excellent, including a large swimming pool in a perfectly maintained garden and free mattresses and towels for the deck chairs on the beach. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff

During my recent stay at Amethyst Resort, I was blown away by the beauty of the hotel. The surroundings were well-maintained and the rooms were spacious and clean. The beach access was a definite plus, and I enjoyed lounging on the deck chairs with the free beach towels provided. The swimming pool was also a highlight, and I appreciated the effort put into maintaining its cleanliness. The warm welcome and helpfulness of the staff throughout my stay made me feel valued as a guest. I had a wonderful experience at Amethyst Resort and would highly recommend it.
