The staff at Ferncliff go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met. The chef, Dinesh, prepares delicious meals using ingredients from the garden, making it the best food we had during our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka. Winston, who has been with the family for 46 years, prepares a cozy log fire for you to enjoy. The hot water bottles in the bed and the hot chocolate with marshmallows were delightful touches.

We felt extremely satisfied with our stay at Ferncliff Bungalow and have no complaints whatsoever.

The location of the hotel was excellent, with easy access to the city center and other attractions. the spacious rooms and modern bathrooms were a plus, providing a comfortable and clean environment. I also enjoyed the friendly staff and their excellent service.

The room was quite dark due to the tiny window, and the overall appearance of the place was run-down with door knobs falling off and walls in need of a fresh coat of paint. the price felt slightly overpriced for the limited amenities provided.

Some areas of the hotel could benefit from improvement, such as chipped enamel baths and hard bath towels.

I was not impressed with the level of service at the hotel. the welcome and check-in process felt awkward and unwelcoming.

The food was beautifully prepared to order, and we appreciated the cozy fires in the evening and the option to enjoy tea on the porch or lawn in the afternoon.

The cozy and comfortable accommodation was wonderful, with high ceilings and beautifully matching furniture. the renovated, modern bathroom was a nice touch. the setting in a huge garden provided a serene and quiet environment, perfect for relaxation. Additionally, the manager took care of everything personally, from check-in to serving meals, and provided helpful hints and tips.

Sometimes there was a small smell in the bathroom, which is typical for the area. However, this was not the fault of the owner, manager, or staff, as the cleaning was excellent.
