loved my recent stay in kandy, thilanka went above and beyond with amazing room amenities, excellent staff, and a first-class welcome at reception. the hotel's efforts to scare away monkeys were impressive, and the view, pool, and buffets were delightful. a truly wonderful experience.

Check-in process disappointing, something was off.

We had a great room with plenty of space and wonderful amenities. The view of the surrounding hills and the lake was breathtaking. The location was perfect, as it allowed us to easily visit the Temple of Tooth and enjoy the traditional dances. The restaurant offered a delicious buffet, and the breakfast was excellent. Despite a few minor drawbacks, we had a very enjoyable stay at Thilanka Hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely nothing.

We had an amazing overnight stay at a hotel in Kandy. The reception staff greeted us warmly and our room exceeded our expectations with a beautiful view of the city and lake. The room itself was spacious and of high quality. We enjoyed a delicious dinner with a wide selection of food while admiring the city lights. The next morning, we had a hearty breakfast and even got to see monkeys outside our window. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely choose this hotel again if we return to Sri Lanka. highly recommended.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the temple and other main attractions in town by foot or tuk tuk. The rooms are spacious and come with a balcony that offers a good view of the mountains and partial view of the lake. The staff is very courteous and provides excellent service. The wide spread of menu options, especially for vegetarians, and the tasty breakfast and dinner buffet add to the overall positive experience.

The WiFi connection is limited to the reception area and restaurant, which can be a bit inconvenient.

Spent New Year's Eve at this hotel and loved the beautiful views from my room. Room was clean and the staff were friendly. The pool was a definite plus and the buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day. Location was convenient as it was close to interesting places to visit. One of the things I enjoyed most was the fruit bats flying across the sky at sunset.

The loud music from the party next door was a let down as it kept me up at night and was quite disruptive. The Wi-Fi connection was spotty at times and made it difficult to complete work.

Spacious rooms with balcony & great view. New wing has modern bathrooms, but smaller rooms. Old wing airco noisy but ok to sleep without. Reception ordered reliable taxi. Easily walkable to town center. Nice setting in garden restaurant. Good compromise for city center.

The swimming pool was clean, and the sun terrace was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning views.

Although almost everything was perfect, I found that the communication between departments could be improved. There was a small mix-up with my payment, which was quickly resolved, but it could have been avoided with better coordination between the staff.
