I had a great stay at Trellis Homes in Colombo. the room on the top floor had a balcony with a view of the ocean, and the private bathroom was very clean. the shared kitchen had all the necessary amenities, including a fridge, kettle, and pots and pans. I also appreciated the free filtered water and unlimited tea. the wifi was reliable, and the room had both A/C and a fan. the location was convenient, with easy access to the train tracks, sea, and nearby attractions. the host was kind and accommodating.
