We recently had a weekend getaway at a hotel near Luzern, and it was just what we needed. Seehotel Kastanienbaum, located about a 15-minute drive from Luzern, offered us the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel provided free bus passes, which we used to easily travel into Luzern in about 30-40 minutes. We loved the fact that the hotel was situated outside the city, allowing us to relax in a peaceful and quiet environment. Taking a walk in the lovely neighborhood was a delight. The staff at Seehotel Kastanienbaum was exceptional, always friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions with a smile and made our stay even more enjoyable. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast. However, the highlight of our stay was the breathtaking view from our room. Overlooking the lake and with a balcony, we were treated to the stunning sight of boats and people on the water. One evening, we witnessed a storm rolling in over the mountains, and it was truly a sight to behold. We can't thank Seehotel Kastanienbaum enough for providing us with such a wonderful experience.

Although there were some negatives, there were some positives to our experience during Thanksgiving. the complimentary breakfast was delicious, with a wide range of fresh items to choose from. Plus, the view was stunning - overlooking a beautiful lake with a breathtaking sunrise. the location was also excellent - easy access to buses and parking was free.

The spa was not very comfortable, and some of the pool areas were not even open. the room and bathroom were not very clean.

Fantastic location, stunning views, comfortable bed, friendly staff, excellent coffee.

The view across the lake from the hotel was absolutely breathtaking. I would sit on the balcony and simply marvel at the beauty of the surroundings. The location of the hotel was also wonderful, as it provided easy access to the lake and a quiet side of Lucerne. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and attentive, making our dining experience enjoyable. Despite some drawbacks, I would still recommend this hotel.

The staff provided a welcome drink upon arrival, and there were also pet amenities available for those traveling with furry friends.

We stayed at this spectacular hotel for a road trip holiday and had many fantastic memories. The location is superb with stunning views across Lake Lucerne. The hotel's pier provides easy access to lake tours and transportation into town. The rooms are roomy and nicely decorated, and the spa facility, although private, is easily accessible. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The front desk staff, especially Stefan, were wonderfully friendly and helpful.
