We had an amazing stay at Bayhouse Hostel and it was the perfect base for exploring all that Hualien has to offer. The friendly staff, especially Damon, provided us with great recommendations for local activities, including a fantastic whale-watching tour. Our spacious and clean private room was exactly what we needed as a family, and the free toast and jam in the morning was a great perk for our kids. We loved the social atmosphere downstairs and enjoyed meeting other guests. our experience at Bayhouse Hostel was exceptional!

My wife says that it would be great if the hostel had a small play area or some activities specifically tailored for children.

My stay at Bayhouse was exceptional! From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed by Kara who introduced me to my fellow dorm-roommates, making me feel right at home. The hostel itself had so many delightful details, like the charming 'post-office' and 'clothes shop'. I especially loved the handwritten book that provided recommendations on where to eat and what to see. The rooms were cozy and clean, and I had the pleasure of meeting friendly people during my stay. I highly recommend this homely place!

Great value for money with a lovely room, good showers and ample space. The location was convenient with restaurants, shops, and a massage parlor within walking distance. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area, offering useful brochures and recommendations.

The breakfast option would have been better with hand soap or liquid soap in the washroom for hygienic purposes.

During my Christmas stay, I loved the spacious and cute rooms at this hostel. The shower had nice hot water and the wifi was strong. The staff were amazing, providing a warm welcome and giving great recommendations for places to eat and visit. They even offered an umbrella when it was raining and shoe warmers to dry our shoes. The location was perfect, just a 10-minute walk from the train and bus stations, making it convenient for trips to Taroko and other destinations. the hostel had a cozy common area where we could relax in the evenings.

That the water temperature in the shower fluctuated a bit during peak times, requiring adjustment. Another issue was that the hostel was located near the railway, so we could sometimes hear trains passing by at night or early morning.

The staff were super friendly and gave jaw-dropping service, with GREAT tips for food and activities. The eco-friendly soap was a mind-blowing touch, and the free coffee and tea were a nice surprise. The bed area was spacious and the outdoor space for hanging wet clothes was a bonus. The hostel had tons of information and a chill area for relaxing. The size of the room was impressive, much larger than expected. It was perfect for our romantic escape. the staff went above and beyond by providing towels and toiletries, which we didn't expect from a hostel. This was a huge plus and made our stay even more enjoyable.

I recently stayed at Bayhouse Comfortel Hualien for a few nights during my visit to Hualien. The hostel had a great atmosphere, especially in the lounge where you could have interesting conversations with other guests. The free toast, peanut butter, jelly, water, tea, and coffee were a fantastic addition. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and individual lockers. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station. it was a wonderful hostel experience.

So many great facilities! I could read in my own little curtained-off area, charge my gadgets, and even lock up my stuff. The staff was lovely too!

Oh, the mattress was a tad firm - must be because I'm used to sleeping on clouds. But hey, it was still restful enough.
