the grand hotel has an amazing location on a hill surrounded by nature. It’s really close to the shilin night market. the pool and sauna felt super relaxing, and the giant balconies in every room were a huge plus. the staff were incredibly attentive and soothing, which made our stay delightful.

the shared balcony offered little privacy. and the noise from nearby rooms disrupted our sleep. but the hotel's architecture is truly stunning. and the balconies are giant with fabulous views. the fitness center is a short walk away, but decent enough to get a workout in!

Despite the excellent shuttle service making access to public transport easy, I found the overall experience didn't quite meet the high expectations set by the hotel's grandeur.
