I recently stayed at Maru Maru Hotel for a week and it was a fantastic experience! The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, making it convenient to explore all the attractions on foot. The rooftop terrace during breakfast and dinner offers breathtaking views of the sea and city. The rooms were clean and exactly what I expected. The staff was incredibly friendly and supportive throughout my stay. They even covered my airport transfer, which was a pleasant surprise. Plus, there are many shopping streets nearby, which was a great bonus.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in the heart of the city. The location was perfect, as it was right in the center next to the famous forodhani gardens. We were able to explore the stone town on foot, and many shopping streets were nearby. The staff here made us feel special by decorating our room with rose petals after we informed them of our engagement. The rooftop terrace was a highlight, offering stunning sunset views and delicious drinks. Breakfast was really good and had a good mix of Zanzibari and Western options. The service was excellent, with friendly staff who accommodated all our requests.

We would highly recommend this venue to everyone.

The hotel's location was perfect, as it was situated right in the middle of the city, just a short walk away from the waterfront, the old fort, and the palace. We were able to explore the historical sights and enjoy shopping at the local markets, all within easy walking distance. The staff here were incredibly accommodating and attentive, always going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They helped us with airport transfers, arranged late checkout, and provided helpful recommendations for local travel agents for our onward journey. The service here was top-notch!

Had a fantastic time at the rooftop swimming pool terrace! The food was delicious and the service was great. The manager was kind enough to let us use the pool even though we weren't staying at the hotel. Will definitely come back one day.

Felt very cared for, no complaints whatsoever.

The room we stayed in was comfortable and modern, with great amenities. the bed was big and comfortable, and the bathroom was of a very high standard. The location of the hotel was convenient, as it was close to historical sights and markets for shopping.

One major downside was the strong smell of garbage coming from the dump right outside the hotel. It was unpleasant and hard to ignore.
