I recently stayed at Tan Hostel X Cafe in Ao Nang for a few days and it was fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the necessary facilities including a microwave and a hairdryer. The dorms were spacious and had bed curtains for added privacy. I also loved the common area and cafe, which were perfect for relaxing and meeting fellow travelers. The hostel's proximity to the beach, night market, and other amenities was a definite plus. It was also nice to have access to a kitchen and drinking water refills. I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

I had a fantastic one-night stay in this Jamaican resort on the water. The building, pool, and room were all good value for the price. The location was very close to the center of town and right on the water's edge. I enjoyed beautiful sea views and had easy access to the sea and the reef in front of the hotel. The hotel staff cooked me a nice dinner and breakfast. Additionally, it felt safe, friendly, and gave me a real Jamaican experience.

No washcloths were provided and the overnight security guard was unfriendly. The hotel was run down and in need of major repair.

The included breakfast was delicious, offering a choice of eggs or a muesli and fruit bowl, along with fresh coffee. The beds were comfy and had curtains for added privacy. The hostel also had excellent security measures in place, making me feel safe as a solo traveler. the hostel had a great location, with a food market just across the street and a 7/11 next door.

One downside of the hostel is that it is located on a main road, so there was some road noise. There was also building work going on across the road during the day, which could be quite loud.

The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The hostel has a beautiful design, is spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Its location between cafes, restaurants, and shops was perfect, and the beach was just a short walk away. The hostel also has great common areas where I met other travelers, and their cafe served delicious food and coffee. I highly recommend this hostel for a comfortable and relaxed stay.

The attached cafe, when open, serves amazing coffee.

The bunk bed steps were a bit awkward to climb up.

The breakfast provided was delicious, and the bathroom was clean with plenty of showers available. The dorm beds were cozy, and I appreciated the privacy provided by the curtains. The hostel also had a café where you could relax, enjoy a coffee or brunch, and a shared kitchen for guests to use. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing me to store my backpack and even come back for a shower after a late climbing lesson. If I return to Ao Nang, I would definitely stay at Tan Hostel X Cafe again and recommend it to my friends. Just remember to bring your own bottle for the refillable water.
