Absolutely jaw-dropping stay! SUPER FRIENDLY staff, spacious room, quick service, and massive portions. Unbelievable value for money! .

We had an amazing stay at this hidden gem! the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tastefully decorated. the food at the pub downstairs was delicious, but the portions were huge! We couldn't finish it all, but didn't want to waste any because it was so tasty. the breakfast was also lovely, a real treat. We will definitely be back to 1885 the Venue - Pub, Restaurant, Rooms & Function House.

The location is great, nestled in beautiful surroundings close to a lovely pub. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with clean and tasteful decor. The staff are friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfast was outstanding, with a variety of chef-quality dishes to choose from. The continental breakfast delivered to the room was a nice touch, allowing for an early start if needed.

The bench-style seating in the outdoor area was uncomfortable and detracted from the overall experience.

We had a lovely welcome and the staff accompanied us to our room. The accommodation was great, with a very comfortable bed, a freestanding full-length mirror, and a large, beautiful bathroom. The shower was brilliant, with nice toiletries and fluffy towels. The hotel had lots of free parking available, which was convenient for us. Additionally, the atmosphere in the bar was nice.

The cocktails at the pub were a disappointment. They were poorly made and lacked key ingredients.

We had a fantastic stay at this venue. The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make our event run smoothly. They even provided a naturally gluten free buffet, catering to our guests' dietary needs. The room accommodated all 50 of us for the evening party and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and plentiful. We even had a fun-filled evening with "Vegas Elvis" and a dance floor and DJ. it was a truly lovely evening and we would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

the perfect location for the wedding we attended! everything was just perfect - from the exceptional service to the lovely and plentiful breakfast. the clean and spacious room was a great bonus, and we even got early check-in for plenty of time to get ready. definitely recommend!
