We had an amazing stay at this hidden gem! the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tastefully decorated. the food at the pub downstairs was delicious, but the portions were huge! We couldn't finish it all, but didn't want to waste any because it was so tasty. the breakfast was also lovely, a real treat. We will definitely be back to 1885 the Venue - Pub, Restaurant, Rooms & Function House.

The staff are friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfast was outstanding, with a variety of chef-quality dishes to choose from. The continental breakfast delivered to the room was a nice touch, allowing for an early start if needed.

The bench-style seating in the outdoor area was uncomfortable and detracted from the overall experience.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, with Kelsey and Lucy providing excellent service in the restaurant and breakfast area. The manager was also very attentive, personally taking us to our room and explaining everything we needed to know. The breakfast offered a highly varied menu, not just the usual full English, and the crockery was specially designed for the hotel. The hotel also had a large car park, making parking easy.

While our overall experience was fantastic, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. We did experience some noise from the bar downstairs, but it did not disrupt our sleep.

We had a fantastic time at 1885 The Venue. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The naturally gluten-free buffet was a highlight, accommodating our dietary needs effortlessly. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the continental breakfast basket was a lovely touch. The pub had a welcoming atmosphere, with a real log fire and delicious food. The location was ideal, just a short taxi ride away from the Barkisland Venue where we were attending a function. it was a hidden gem and we can't wait to go back.

We had a lovely welcome and the staff accompanied us to our room. The accommodation was great, with a very comfortable bed, a freestanding full-length mirror, and a large, beautiful bathroom. The shower was brilliant, with nice toiletries and fluffy towels. The hotel had lots of free parking available, which was convenient for us. Additionally, the atmosphere in the bar was nice.

We had a fantastic stay at this venue. The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make our event run smoothly. They even provided a naturally gluten free buffet, catering to our guests' dietary needs. The room accommodated all 50 of us for the evening party and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and plentiful. We even had a fun-filled evening with "Vegas Elvis" and a dance floor and DJ. it was a truly lovely evening and we would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

the perfect location for the wedding we attended! everything was just perfect - from the exceptional service to the lovely and plentiful breakfast. the clean and spacious room was a great bonus, and we even got early check-in for plenty of time to get ready. definitely recommend!
