had another wonderful stay in durham, but this time at a charming refurbished terrace with stunning cathedral views. the room was spacious and clean with a lovely ensuite. the staff was friendly and breakfast was delicious. highly recommend for a luxurious and friendly stay in durham!

I recently stayed at a beautifully decorated hotel in the center of a charming town. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we even got upgraded to a stunning floral room with a view of the cathedral. The room was cozy, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was super comfy, and the bathroom had a huge bath and separate shower. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the town center. We also enjoyed a lovely breakfast with plenty of choices. it was a fantastic stay and the price was extremely reasonable.

my valentine's day stay in durham was absolutely incredible. the guesthouse was beautifully decorated and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home. the view of the cathedral from my room was breathtaking and the breakfast was out of this world delicious. a perfect stay in every way.

No tea and coffee facilities

We chose 40 Winks for its interesting and boutique-like rooms, and we were blown away by the Gala Room we stayed in. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the highlight was the lovely roll top bath where we could admire stunning views of the Cathedral. The staff were lovely, and the breakfast was not only delicious but also filling. Additionally, the location of the hotel was superb, allowing us to easily walk into the city center without being disturbed by noise.
