My partner and I recently stayed at Avondale House for two nights and we had a fantastic experience. The location was ideal for what we wanted to do and the easy parking was a bonus. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the linens were of high quality. Sue and Steve, the hosts, were excellent and made us feel welcomed without being intrusive. They provided us with great suggestions for places to visit and made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of choices and well-cooked hot options. The room was clean and comfortable, providing us with everything we needed. We would definitely stay at Avondale House again.

We had a fantastic stay at this convenient location. The house is in a great spot, not far from the bus route and within walking distance to village amenities. The room was clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom and a lovely view. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was delicious and filling, giving us a good start to the day. we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the easy access to nearby attractions.

The air fresheners used in the room were overpowering and had to be moved to the hallway overnight.

The location of the hotel is superb, with a restaurant and play-park directly across the road, shops including the Co-Op a two minute walk away, and easy drives to The Highland Wildlife Park, Landmark Adventure Park. The hotel is also really close to the train station and bus stop, making it convenient for exploring the area.

The furniture and overall appearance of the hotel could use some updating and maintenance.

It was the perfect spot for a short break to the area.

There was a rusty gazebo frame with no cover, towering over an empty and dirty inflatable hot tub. It seemed neglected and not in proper working condition.

Lastly, the staff were friendly and provided excellent service, ensuring that my needs were met throughout my stay.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Avondale House. The property was easy to find on the main road through Kingussie. Despite arriving late, the owners warmly welcomed us and made us feel right at home. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room was immaculately clean. Steve and Sue, the friendly owners, were attentive to our needs and the house's location on the main street was convenient for exploring the area. The affordable price and delicious breakfast made our stay even better. Highly recommended!
