The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is right opposite a beautiful lake and is conveniently located near the bridge to the Isle of Skye. The hotel is also close to a Spar shop, making it easy to grab any essentials.

The value for money at Balmacara was excellent and the room was upgraded to a king size bed, which was a lovely surprise. The location was stunning, even on a cloudy night, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast option could be improved with a wider variety of choices.

Great manager, friendly staff, spacious rooms, beautiful view, in-room amenities like TV and hairdryer. Nearby Spar for emergency supplies. Well-located for exploring Inverness, Fort William, Ben Nevis, and Isle of Skye.

The room was modern and had a powerful shower. Netflix and Prime were available on the smart TVs. The breakfast options were excellent, with a full Scottish and vegetarian options. The staff, although sometimes vague, were friendly and took good care of us.

The Balmacara Hotel offered great value for money, with a comfortable and well-presented room. The location near the Isle of Skye bridge was perfect, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast items could have been better, especially the toast which was just pale white bread.

Late check-in was accommodated, well-equipped room, comfortable bed, hot shower, excellent breakfast.

The public areas at this hotel are attractive and the rooms have been recently upgraded, making them modern and comfortable. The staff are friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. The hotel is conveniently located on the main road to Skye, with parking available.

Felt that the hotel is secure and nothing was too much trouble.

We enjoyed our stay here thanks to the beautiful location by the loch, free toiletries, electric kettle, and flat-screen TV in our room. Everything we could need was available on Skye island, with a lovely terrace and garden furniture, and a continental breakfast in the dining restaurant. The bar/lounge area was perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking and canoeing.

The hotel's location overlooking the loch is perfect for visiting the area and en route to Skye. The rooms are spacious, clean, warm, and have a bath with endless hot water. The staff, including Kat on reception and the breakfast manager, are extremely friendly and go out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The food is served quickly, piping hot, and the menu offers exceptional choices. Ample free parking, great WiFi, and other amenities such as a hairdryer and coffee making facilities are provided.

We spent our Christmas holidays at a hotel that offered two free glasses of Prosecco and a Christmas cracker at dinner. the hotel had an excellent view of a nearby lake and was situated close to local shops and pubs. the beds were comfortable and we slept well.

The hotel's dining options were limited, and the coffee tasted terrible. the TV in our room was ancient and had very few channels, and the food was not up to scratch for the price we paid.

The hotel's restaurant served delicious food and the breakfast options were excellent. it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Not one thing.

The hotel is located in a lovely area near the bridge to the Isle of Skye, offering beautiful views right on the lake. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making guests feel at home. Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast and dinner at the on-site restaurant, and in case it is closed, they can easily access the bar. The rooms are comfortable, with some even offering sea views. The bathroom facilities are satisfactory.

The shower pressure and hot water can be inconsistent.
