amazing room, friendly staff, fabulous vegan breakfast in courtyard!

We had an exceptional stay at this hidden gem in Margate's old town. The location was perfect, smackbang in the middle of the town center, making it easy for us to explore all the local attractions and restaurants. The private room exceeded our expectations, with a lovely bathroom and shower that were sparkling clean. The owner has created a unique and fun atmosphere, with a vegan cafe downstairs and a zen courtyard out the back. The service was top-notch, and we enjoyed delicious smoothies during our stay. We would definitely come back!

While the room was fantastic, it would have been even better if there was a mini fridge included.

I recently had the most amazing stay at a lovely location in Margate Old Town. The room at The Beetroot was absolutely gorgeous, with a beautifully designed bathroom and plenty of power sockets. The staff were incredibly helpful and genuine, making me feel welcome and valued. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable, with just the right level of firmness. I was also treated to a stunning view across the old brick buildings of the town. The blackout blind and curtains provided excellent insulation, and it was easy to open the window for some fresh air. I was delighted to find that all the bedding, toiletries, and cleaning products were vegan, and the jug of alkaline free water in the room was a nice touch. The big black bath sheets provided were of excellent quality as well.

Not obvious to find

The Beetroot is located right in the heart of Margate's old town, making it convenient for exploring everything the city has to offer. It is in walking distance to all the main attractions, including the train station. The hotel facilities are excellent, with a beautiful patio area and comfortable rooms. The cleanliness is top-notch, and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

Our room was perfectly sized, comfortable, and welcoming. Every detail was perfect, from the soya milk capsules to the included guides. The bathroom was stunning and the bed super comfy. The kitchen was great, with a selection of tea and a coffee machine. The location was central and the owner was really friendly and helpful. This hidden gem felt fresh, contemporary, and new. Vegan refreshments and toiletries were provided, and the owner was welcoming. Can recommend this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hidden gem in an old town location. The room was incredibly clean and well-equipped, with a fantastic shower. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. Although the bed was a bit too soft for my liking, it didn't pose a major issue for a short stay. The highlight was definitely the busy cafe located downstairs, creating a vibrant atmosphere. I had a wonderful and comfortable experience at this lovely bolt-hole.

We had a fantastic stay at The Beetroot in the heart of the cultural center. The room was beautifully designed and spotlessly clean, with lovely furnishings and a super comfortable bed. The location was perfect, tucked away but close to great bars, restaurants, and the beach. Paul, the host, was welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the tranquil ambiance, especially the soothing sounds of the water feature at night. The vegan restaurant below offered delicious food, including an amazing breakfast smoothie bowl. The kitchenette was well-equipped, although a few more items like a chopping board and toaster would have been helpful. Despite a couple of minor inconveniences, The Beetroot exceeded our expectations, and we're already looking forward to returning to explore more of the area. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location of this backpackers was absolutely perfect. It was conveniently situated in the heart of town, within walking distance to all the important spots in Margate. Not only was it close to the train station, but it was also right on the seafront, providing stunning views. Plus, there were great bars nearby that served excellent real ale, perfect for a night out. The room itself was clean, modern, and comfortably designed, with all the necessary facilities. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The lack of free parking nearby. However, the owner did offer alternative options for free parking, so it wasn't a major issue.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The room was beautiful and the bed was the best I've ever slept on. The location is perfect, right on the seafront and close to the train station. The staff were so friendly and genuine, and the owner even offered to drive us to the station when we checked out.
