we had a fantastic time at best western! our superior king room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely view of the lawn. the breakfast staff were so accommodating and whipped us up vegan options every morning. plus, the leisure facilities like the swimming pool and sauna were perfect for unwinding after a long day.

maybe just a bit more variety in the breakfast options would have been nice.

the room was very dated and the squeaky floorboards made me feel like i was in an old horror movie. not to mention the weak shower flow—absolutely disappointing. i thought, with my expectations, a complimentary gesture would be the least they could do, but guess that's just a wishful dream here. i almost gave a good review, but just couldn't.

The decor feels outdated and could use a modern touch!!! Room temperatures fluctuate uncomfortably for a good night's sleep!!! Noise from adjacent rooms can be quite disturbing!!! The limited menu at the restaurant leaves much to be desired upon return!!!

The hotel's location is perfect for quick trips into town while being close to Portobello Beach. We enjoyed some delicious turkey and trimmings at the restaurant, served hot and fresh. It was fantastic to bring our dog along, and the staff were very accommodating.

My wife says that the breakfast setup felt a bit chaotic, especially during peak hours.

Two nights in a spacious standard double room offered a bit of nostalgia with its dated decor, but the bedtime quietness was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast featured freshly squeezed juice, and the bistro’s dinner was efficiently served with good food variety. Notably, the hotel offered free umbrellas, which were handy during our city exploration. However, the limited bathroom amenities and the weak shower pressure detracted slightly from the experience.

Had a really nice time! The bathroom shower was fantastic, felt like I was washing off the dust of the world! Plus, Jonathan at breakfast? What a gem, he gave us tips like local intel, very helpful. Used the spa as well, had a great swim in that 25m pool, really felt refreshed after a long day. And the beds? Man, they were comfy, I actually slept like a baby!

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but for what you get, it’s alright.

this hotel is super close to the bus stop that takes u right into the city in like 15 mins, and portobello beach is just a short walk away. the staff was really friendly, especially jonathan at breakfast, he was so helpful with local tips. the rooms were clean and big, felt comfy to chill after a long day. also, there's loads of free parking which is a big plus if you drive. overall, the experience was pretty great for a family stay.

Had a fantastic stay! The relaxing pool area was a major highlight, and the comfy twin room felt spacious. The spa treatments were fully booked, so prebook if you can. I'd definitely return!

I had a nice solo time here! The staff were super nice, always smiling and helpful. The room was more spacious than I thought, perfect for unwinding. I loved the bar area for some evening drinks. Only bummer was the WiFi was a bit spotty sometimes, but the pool area really made up for it.

Loved the spacious room with a view of the tennis courts. The swimming pool and spa facilities were a real treat, especially the jacuzzi and sauna.

Felt very welcome, nothing too much trouble.
