I recently had a very enjoyable stay at a hotel just outside Exeter. The first thing that struck me was the incredible value for money. The prices were extremely reasonable, especially considering the beautiful location in the countryside. The hotel is surrounded by stunning gardens and offers breathtaking views of the Devon countryside from the rooms with their big windows. It was such a treat waking up to those stunning views. The basic amenities were all in place and the staff provided excellent service, making sure that every detail was taken care of. Plus, breakfast was included and served with a super view of the countryside – a perfect start to the day.

My experience at this hotel was fantastic.

Quiet location with wonderful views. Excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Good quality food in the pub. Enormous portions. Ample coffee/tea and biscuits in the room. Very helpful and polite staff. Close to Exeter City, only 15 mins away.

I stayed at Best Western Lord Haldon Hotel for one night on my way to the Plymouth ferry. The croissants at breakfast were a delight, and I had a wonderful night's sleep in the lovely room. The setting of the hotel is beautiful, surrounded by countryside. The staff, especially Daniel at reception, were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The hotel is also dog-friendly and located near National Trust properties, making it ideal for walks and sightseeing.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Although there were a few things that I didn't like about my xmas stay, there were a couple of things that were alright. I did appreciate the stunning location which was really breathtaking and made me feel like I was in the middle of the countryside. the staff seemed very helpful and friendly, which was always a bonus when you're feeling a little bit lonely over Christmas. Lastly, there was a games room which was nice to have and I did enjoy a few rounds of pool while I was there.

My xmas stay was not as pleasant as I had hoped. the power went out for almost a day and although the staff did try their best, it was quite a major inconvenience that put a bit of a damper on the festivities.

The breakfast, made to order, is delicious and plentiful, providing a great start to the day. The hotel also offers various facilities, such as large TVs, tea/coffee facilities, and plenty of parking space.

The lack of WiFi in some rooms and soundproofing issues between rooms and function areas could be improved.

We were pleasantly surprised by the great value stay at the Best Western. The location was wonderful, with stunning views of rolling hills and sheep grazing in the countryside. The staff went above and beyond, especially the manager who spent over half an hour helping us find accommodation for the next leg of our journey. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a much-needed respite after a long day of travel. The dinner at the hotel was delicious, and we enjoyed the special menu on the second Thursday of the month, which was a fantastic deal. we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend the Best Western Exeter Lord Haldon Country Hotel to anyone.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a charming manor house in the countryside. The location was idyllic, with stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The room was comfortable and clean, with plenty of space and a cozy bed. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection of options to choose from. I also appreciated the convenient location, as it was close to the ferry in Plymouth and highly rated restaurants for the next two nights. The communication was also excellent, as I received a detailed email explaining all the public areas that would be accessible during my stay.

The approach road to the hotel was a bit narrow and difficult to navigate.

Stayed for one night before continuing to Cornwall. Beautiful countryside setting with fabulous views. Clean hotel with spacious, comfortable bedroom. Modern white marble bathroom. Lovely evening meal and excellent breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff.

I had a great value for my money at this hotel. The room was cozy and the beds were comfortable. The location was quiet and had beautiful views. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The hotel's surroundings were beautiful, with great views and peaceful surroundings. The rooms were large, clean, and felt spacious, perfect for a family with 2 small kids. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was big and spotless. The staff were very helpful, kind, and made us feel welcome. The breakfast on the first day was amazing, with unexpected treats like muffins, flapjacks, and fruit. The hotel provided a fan to cope with the heat, and the price for our stay was excellent.

Felt more than at home, no complaints.
