As a budget traveler, I loved the spotlessly clean rooms and incredibly friendly staff at Philipburn Hotel. The staff were helpful and accommodating, making my stay even more pleasant. The breakfast was amazing, with delicious scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.

Shower not powerful enough.

The hotel is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by forest and lovely gardens. the breakfast had a great variety, including hot and cold options, and the food for both dinner and breakfast tasted amazing.

The road leading to and from the hotel was unpaved, which may cause issues for some types of vehicles. the town where the hotel is located did not offer many options in terms of attractions and activities.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel and truly enjoyed the experience. The food, especially the steak and ale pie and porridge, was outstanding with generous portions. The hotel itself was superb, modern, clean, and extremely comfortable. We loved the lovely garden and seating area outside. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our breakfast and evening meals a true delight. The mushroom soup was the best I have ever tasted. The location of the hotel was also superb, with stunning rooms and beautiful views of the well-maintained garden and patio area. It was ideally placed for exploring the Scottish Borders and Tweed Valley. All in all, it was an amazing experience.
