We had a fantastic stay at the Black Bull. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel very welcome. The rooms were spacious, clean, and lovely. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and had a fantastic meal in the restaurant. The location was perfect, and the locals were also friendly and welcoming. The sense of community at the Black Bull really added to the overall warmth and familiarity of our stay. We can't recommend this place highly enough!

We had a great stay at the Black Bull in Gartmore. The room was clean and comfortable, although a bit on the small side with not much of a view. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed both the evening meal and the breakfast. The location was in a beautiful hiking area, making it the perfect base for exploring the surrounding nature. it was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

We stayed at the Black Bull in Gartmore during our road trip through Scotland. It was the most comfortable stay of our trip! The hotel is located in a lovely little town, perfect for hiking. The spacious and stylishly decorated room had a gorgeous bathroom with a great shower. The beds were super comfy, perfect after a long day of hiking. The breakfast in the morning was amazing, and the friendly hostess made us feel very welcome. We loved supporting a community-owned and run venture.

Had an amazing Christmas stay at this lovely little community pub/hotel. The staff were warm, friendly, and professional, making us feel incredibly welcome. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely superb, offering a delicious start to the day. Located in a picturesque setting, it was a short drive to both Stirling and Loch Lomond, making it the perfect base for exploring.

There were really no negatives to mention about this wonderful stay. Everything about our experience was enjoyable, from the friendly staff to the lovely rooms and great food.

We absolutely loved the beautiful and well-decorated enormous room with a massive and comfortable bed. The views of the Campsies from the room were simply lovely, and the window seat was a nice addition to enjoy the scenery. The bathroom was huge and beautifully decorated, with fluffy white towels and a powerful shower. The breakfast cooked by Kitty, the manageress, was fantastic, and she even went the extra mile to accommodate my early departure. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious, with hearty home-cooked meals. We also appreciated that the hotel belonged to the community of Gartmore, which gave it a sense of familiarity and warmth. we had a wonderful stay and would return in a heartbeat.
